projector headlights

Hey guys,

I just bought a set of black projector headlights on ebay. There is an extra light in each one that has wires hanging out with no plug. Does anyone know where I am supposed to wire these in to make them work? these bulbs are on the outter edge of the assembly. Thanks for any help you can give!

Re: projector headlights

My guess is you tap into the parking lights and use them there, what wattage are the bulbs?

Thats what i was thinking as to hooking them. I wasnt real sure though. It looks like they are the same bulb size as the ouutter bulbs on the parking lights that are right below them ie outer corner. I need to work on them aiming of the lights now. one side is pretty good but the other side is way off. thanks for the input!

Re: projector headlights

I got the ones with the halo's. I also have white LED's in the parking lights. The corner lights i dident hook up, But I would think they would go to the parking lights. I can have some pics up after x-mas, I have a feeling that fat guy is gettin me a didgital camera.

Re: Re: projector headlights

Hey nigel, Our trucks are almost twins. Are you happy with your Projector headlights? I really like the look but I am not sure about the lighting. it is good on highbeam but not so good on low beam. Of course this may just be from bad aiming. I really do need to work on that soon.

Re: projector headlights

Yea, the low beam sucks ass, I had the ones without the halo first, and they were even worse. I did buy some aftermarket bulbs... that made them a little brighter and changed the light to like a bluish purple tint. I would suggest pointing them down a little bit. I love the look too, but like I said the lighting isnt too good. It dosent really affect me here in the city but when i get on the highway, if theirs no post lights i gotta use the highbeams.

My friend told me about this wire harnes he hooked up to his cheap projectors and it helped him out alot. Im still trying to find out what he used.
