97 Explorer v8 0455 large leak
I have a 97 explorer with a check engine light that has been on for quite some time now. Autozone pulled the code which was 0455 evap large leak detected. I snooped around for any hoses that may be loose or bad. None. I then went to the junk yard and pulled a (VCM) ventilation control valve, a carbon canister, and a purge selonoid. replaced all 3 of these items on the truck and unhooked the battery to reset the light. Within a day the light is back. I then purchased a replacement gas cap from Autozone and disconneted the battery again. Within a day the light is back. Any direction on this problem would be appreciated.
