2 friends of mine have this system...I'm thinking of switching over...but its quiet until you get on it and even then its not that loud. Its legal because you keep your stock manifolds and cats.

Remote turbos are bad!! If your going to turbo a car, do it the proper way. You know that turbos work from the exhaust pressure? Where is the most pressure located at? Not at your muffler thats for sure. You want a turbo located as close as possible to the exhaust manifold to increase efficiency. You also have the concern of the turbo being directly exposed to the elements that gets kicked up i.e. debris, rain, snow, sand, dirt, etc. Who wants a rusted turbo? I'm not trying to be rude, but if your spending 4k on a turbo kit, do not buy a remote kit! Lag is also going to be more of an issue since it will have less pressure to build up quicker. Don't trust everything they are throwing at you, cause they are trying to sell there product like everybody else. They are simply telling you what you want to hear.

Re: think turboing your fb or ta is a pain think again

they have actually fixed most of the problems you talk about. no lag and still enough pressure. yes you have to still worry about debris on the road hitting it. its not a bad kit ive read a few reviews on it.

welcome to 6 months ago arguement. So tell me great one, whats the difference in pressure from right off the manifolds vs back the tailpipe if there are no leaks between the manifolds and the turbo(no matter where its located).

Whats the difference if the turbo is out back where it is or down low in the engine bay like some of the other kits place them? there is no difference other then its not in the engine bay. Rusted turbo..is that like my rusty exhaust pipe

Lag is not an issue. I've rode in 2 STS cars. one with a T60 the other a T67. virtually NO lag. The T70 turbo on this kit was the same way.

Yeah...don't trust what you're telling us...because I've been there, seen that on the street and at the track.

well umm, there is not that much pressure difference but, heat drives a turbine just as much as pressure. It's colder back there. Oh and yea, there is no lag at 10 PSI but, try to run a turbo that will support 23+ PSI. Lag bad time.

If you could explain to me how a remote system is better, than I'm all ears. Like you said, this is a 6month old argument, I would assume it should be clear.

Since when is a turbo suppost to run cooler? Its purpose is to absorb the wasted thermal energy. This site seems to believe that heat is the setups enemy???

I AM NO COLLEGE PROF. So bear w/ me

There is no significant difference in pressure. However, there is a lot more space between the exhaust port and the turbo, so it is a different flow pattern. Which causes 2 problems (that i can see);

A) There is more lag due to the fact that the gas's have much more space to compress. If anyone here has ever had air compressors, you know that it takes longer to compress a 50 gallon tank than a 7 gallon tank. (which is about the difference).

B) The gas's (as stated by sts) are much cooler. This is great for turbo life. It does reduce the efficiency of the turbo because the gas's are more dense and will not spin the turbine as fast as the hot gas's.

As for your debris/weather concerns. It will rust anyway, and dont drive on shitty roads! :P

All in all it is a good idea. But it is mostly talk and not enough rock.

The standard method will produce more power, and isn't that all we really want?!?!
