What the F**K is this guy talking about
http://www.musclecarclub.com/other-c...-eclipse.shtml
Scroll down to the 2000 eclipse. This guy say's "The Mitsubishi Eclipse was all new for 2000, as it shed some of its boy-racer looks and performance, in exchange for more sophistication. Gone were the wild (but unpopular) turbo charged engines and all wheel drive." Somebody tell this guy to stick to what his website is named, because he doesn't know what he is talking about. I finally got a Turbo AWD DSM, and it was hard as hell to find one for cheap!

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
This should be in the 2000+ forum if it's about 2000+ eclipses!
And not trying to be an ass but if you are going to ask multiple questions then ask them in the same thread |

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
I did this just to show how dumb this guy was with his statement about "Gone were the wild (but unpopular) turbo charged engines and all wheel drive" when he was talking about the new ones. I have been posting a lot of F**king threads--sorry just been excited as a school girl that first learned how to touch herself "down there" because I finally got a DSM--I will settle down now.

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
Everybody i know that owns an eclipse (and gives a shit about performance) either has a turbo.. or wished they had a turbo... don't know what that guy's talking about. And as far as looks... The 2gen shits on the 3gen... to me, the 3rd gen is more of a Luxeray than sport..

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
the turbo DSM's didn't sell well new, thats a fact and thats what he's talking about and thats why they're so scarce on the second-hand market.

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
Not to perpetuate the thread, but only about 10% of all 2Gs sold were GST, and only 5% were GSX. Not sure about 1Gs. But I believe it was more of a money issue than being "unpopular." I know my car was nearly 30k new, and 99s were going for over 30k when they announced the end of AWD turbo. I can see why the much cheaper NTs are more "popular."

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
Do you know if the "10% were GST's" includes the Spyder?

Re: What the F**K is this guy talking about
Not sure! Supposedly all turbo DSMs totaled about 15%, so perhaps they were. They are pretty rare though, probably don't have much of an impact on the percentage numbers.
And my wife is harrassing me now because there is a big cock on my 20" screen... lmao

I imagine the guy means the turbo models were unpopular in the sense that they didn't sell as well as the NA versions. Its pretty obvious (even to a potential dimwit like him) that anyone who wants performance first would want the tubo model.
