Re: PVC question

" Positive Crankcase Ventilation" or PCV. Your pcv valve is connected to your main vac line. Your pcv valve re circulates unburnt gasses back through the engine. its normal to have some oil on your pcv valve dude. Normal life of a pcv is about 35K. Theres a spring inside the valve that weakens and breaks. thats when its time to replace it. YOu cant really tell if the spring is broke or weakened so just replace it every 30k or 2 years or so. Another thing you might wanna pull out if your are past 36K is your fuel filter. Hope that helps ya dude.

xtememeasure made an excellent post. He explined it perfectly.

Could you take a picture of this on/off valve you are talking about?

I really need to see this.

Or just telling you that the vacume hose is suppose to be taken of at that point. not sure really. n thank for the props on the explination. i noticed you know your stuff on alot of the areas im not farmiliar with.
