they seemed to be hinting that they were eibach... thats doesnt sound good, i loved my eibach springs... but i doubt i would use coil overs again regardless of whose they were....

They are not Eibach. They are Skunk2 coilovers and springs. Read all 6 pages closely as you might miss it in all the mess. It's mentioned both on page 4 19th posts down and page 5 17th post down by slammed_93_hatch in the thread that they are skunk2 coilovers.

Anyways, someone in the thread mentioned their skunk2's came with a brass ring spacer to put at the bottom of the coils in-between the sleeve and the perch to streng. Some peoples skunk2 came with them and some did not. The one that was bent all up didn't have this. The ring seems like it would be stronger than the sleeve, as it is thicker, and would be able to withstand the presurre better, sort of a reinforcement ring. The coilover rests on top of the flat ring, the stronger ring then goes against the perch. ACRProject has a picture of the ring installed on his shocks/coils 15 posts down on the 3rd page. If you use skunk2 ever use the brass ring, and if you didn't get on, buy one.

On a side note, this couldn't happen with a Koni yellow shocks with Ground Control coilover combo. The way Koni yellow shocks are made and how Ground Ccontrol coilovers rest on them makes it not possible. There is not perch, it mounts and sits on the koni slap ring. Koni yellows are 3 -way adjustable They have a snap ring that goes into machined grooves, thus allowing you to change the ride height up or down a pcertian amount even with normal springs. This is the same snap ring koni uses to sit the perchs directly onto, they are designed to handle loads place directly on top of them. The Ground Control coilovers replace the perchs in this case, and mount directly onto the snap ring in place of the perchs.
