Washer fluid doesn't want to come out
We have a 2000 Grand Caravan Sport that doesn't want to spray washer fluid on the front window like it should. The only way to get it to work is to pull the handle back almost all the way while pushing it in like you should, which flashes the bright lights. I've also gotten it to work if you turn the handle like you are going to turn on the right turn signal, while also pushing it in like normal.
Anyone else have this issue or any suggestions on what the issue is? I'm assuming something is wrong with the switch inside the turn signal lever but I'm not sure. Thanks a lot. |

Re: Washer fluid doesn't want to come out
i have 89 svc maual. it shows very complicated 17 step sequence for standard steering column and 22 steps for tilt column, more with speed control. i'm sure 2000 is similar. i would not recommend doing this. i would rig a new hot wire and switch thru the firewall to the washer pump motor with a 4 amp fuse in the line. use a grommet. disconnect the stock connector to the pump.

Re: Washer fluid doesn't want to come out
Qwester...Thanks for the reply. It sounds like you are a lot more mechanically-savvy than I am. I'm pretty sure this isn't something I would want to attempt but I appreciate the info. I was hoping someone would know of this being a simple part replacement that wouldn't set me back too much.
Happy holidays. |
