Talking free mods

is there any prefomace upgrades the i can do to a 86' Xj, for free. or for any xj, out there. i have spent alot of monye to get it stated and, and no monye left (just a student). Remember FREE

free , mmmmmmmmmm... a free flowing exhaust and air filter, i guess you would have to remove your exhaust and air filter, that would give you more power and it would be free...

He's got quite a few things there to spruce up the XJ without breaking the bank. I've done the "lock auto tranny into 2nd gear" mod and I love it.

Something else I did: I removed my stock air box, took a jig saw and opened up the intake hole in the front of the thing, then put it back in. The one that's on it is only about 2"X3", I opened mine up to about 6" round just to ensure I wasn't getting any air restriction right there. Obviously a high flow filter is the ultimate answer, but like you, my XJ play budget is limited...

Great Site!!! Just removed the silencer on mine, anything I can do to save on gas!! is worth it

Yeah, I spend a lot of time staring at the Go-Jeep site. I'm looking at the hood vent mod as one of the next.

Also, check the thread I posted on the injector upgrades...
