Car hesitates when shifting
I need some help with my 95 jetta 2.0 automatic. When i'm driving and the car goes to shift it hesitates, goes to about 4000 rpm, or so, than will shift. It will shift if i let off the pedal though. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Car hesitates when shifting
My MKIII has a similar prob. I have a manual, and i let my friend (GIRL) drive it, and she rode the clutch like it was a roller coaster. It started to smell, so i took over, and she must have grinded the teeth down or something. Because when i shift, and step on the gas it just raises the rpms and then i let off the gas and push it again and then it will grab. It still slips though.
