I have a 90 GP that had a bad radio. I swapped it out and now none of the speakers work. I put in a unit I know has sound output and nothing shows. I get static when testing the wires, and have checked all fuses in the fuse panel twice. Is there a fuse or fusible link somewhere else? Nothing under the hood appears to be radio related. Did not change anything with the speaker wiring at all, just a different head unit. Hmmmmm......

You must have outboard factory amps in the car....bet that is what is going on. If the radio is not that exact same model......this could very well be shutting you down

Re: Speaker Problem!@@@
Frankly.....I would just run new wires to all the speakers in the car it it were me....this bypasses all the factory amp issues.

Well, now the problem appears to run a little deeper. The only way I can maintain adequate voltage on my hot lead to the radio is with a battery charger hooked to the battery. Now I'm trying to trace the power lead back for a short. Anyone aware of where the chassis ground are located? The battery ground is solid. How is the radio harness routed and can I get to it without tearing the entire dash out? I'm about ready to thow a stick of dynamite inside and run for cover.
