my truck's not level
I've got a 97 k1500 that is a full inch lower on the left side than it is on the right. All the suspension is stock. I've thought something looked weird for a while now and finally got around to measuring it. I'm not too rough on the truck, though we have had our days (and nights) in the mud. Do you think something is bent? Seems kinda weird to me. It's lower all the way, front to back.

Re: my truck's not level
Just to clear things up, is it on the passenger or driver side? a possibilty would be that the factory rubber body spacers are worn, or gone.

Sorry, I wasn't done responding when I hit submit. Any way it is on the driver's side. I'll go get under it this afternoon and see if I can see these spacers, but I'm not sure where to look.

I think my 92 is the same side, in the rear though not the front. In the back it's gotta be in the suspension because if you look at the wheels one sticks above the top of the frame and the other wheel is a little below the top of the frame yet nothing on the suspension is broken at all, shackles and hangers are just fine.
Edit: tonight after i'm done hunting i'll pull her in the garage and take a few more measurments and see what i can help you(and myself) out with.

Re: my truck's not level
When you say the left side is lower, is this measuring to the frame or the fender? If it's to the frame, suspension/tires are your problem. Check the tires for the correct PSI. You need to flush the summer air out and refill with winter air anyway
![]() If you're measuring to the fenders, check those spacers Silverado Brethern mentioned. |

Re: my truck's not level
Crank up the torsion bar on that side. I had the same problem with my truck. About 3 turns should give you an inch or so.
