confused..... help!!!
What's up guys, I've never really been into the whole car audio scene, but now im looking for a system. I have a 97 Prelude and I want to get a sub mounted flat in my trunk in the spare tire wheel well. I dont want anything too crazy, I just want a single sub that will bump pretty good. I was looking at a 10inch Audiobahn AW1008T with a Audiobahn A8002T amp. Would thats stuff be good? Then i was looking around on ebay and found some crazy deals on what seems to be crazy stuff like a AudioBahn AWT10X sub and a AUDIOBAHN A1300HCT amp. All the watts, volts and shit is confusing me so help would me much appreciated! Heres my car... http://www.cardomain.com/id/typeshluder
edit: I went to tweeter to get an estimate and they said $2300.... so i'm definately not going there. I talked to a local shop and they said they'd do the install for only $200 and ill just order my own equipment. |

Re: confused..... help!!!
No....not good..honestly, in my opinion ur car is too nice to put Audiobahns in it..thats like puttin donuts on a ferrari lol..
Now before i get slammed about this choice, im picking it because its a decent price and my friend was lookin for a setup to have "decent bass" and we were both pleasently surprised at it.. i would jus suggest a mtx 8000 12" sub, u can give it 400w RMS, and the amp i would suggest a MTX Thunder 801D, jus because it puts out a direct 400watts at 2 ohms, its very reliable especially when u use a mtx sub, and both of them shouldnt cost u more than about $350 if not less..if ur lookin for somethin cheaper then im sure others will input their suggestions.. |

Re: confused..... help!!!
how deep is your spare well and about how much cubic ft. do you have to work with? if you dont want to really figure this out just at least tell us how big the tire is from tread to tread (full diameter of well)

Re: confused..... help!!!
about 2 2/3 cubic feet. Its about 8 inches deep and about 2 feet across. The guy at the audio shop said that the AW1008T sub and Audiobahn A8002T amp would fit. give me some suggestions on what brands are good.
