Hi guys, I'm new to the Forum, and I have a problem I was hoping someone could help me out with.
I have a '01 Silverado 5.3 Auto, and when I'm at idle or near idle and turn my wheels, It'll die on me. It happens the most when I'm turning into my Garage but has happened other times. It's not everytime, but enough to aggravate me. It's very frustrating! Any help, suggestions, or Ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. |

Being an 01 with probably a fair amount of miles/kilometers on it i would suggest cleaning your TB and the IAC. If those are dirty it will affect the idle. It was too cold here when mine started acting up with a different problem and it was at the dealer, they noticed that the TB was dirty as well as the IAC so i had them clean them both for $100 Canadian. I know that is kind of expensive but they removed the IAC and the TB to clean them both, and like i said it is now cold here...-23c so with no garage that is not something i would weant to do outside. Those are a coulple of places to start, could not hurt giving it some injector cleaner into the tank either and replacing the fuel filter. But i suspect that it may be either your IAC or the TB being dirty............... i could be wrong.
