Recall Question???
I was just reading one of the Threads and they were talkin about how if you have performance clutch on your car they wont do recall work on your car. I havent yet put in the clutch in my car and i was wondering if i should go to the dealer and get my recall done or if i dont tell them that i have performcane clutch, are they going to know?? Do they open up the whole tranny to just replace or fix a Transfer-case??
My biggest problem is my old clutch is only good for one trip and i dont really want to tow the car to the dealer then to the shop that is going to put my clutch in my car. That would be over 50 miles charge from the towing company. Do u guys have any advise for me or experinced any problems with the dealer ship with your recall???? |

Re: Recall Question???
call mitsu first about the recall, and see if you can get it done. once it's in the shop and you are approved for the transfer case recall, have the shop guy do the clutch at the same time.

Re: Recall Question???
Recall Number: 02V143001
Dates Manufactured: Unavailable Number of Vehicles Affected: 15000 Date Owners Notified On: Unavailable On certain passenger vehicles, a condition exists that allows oil to leak from the all-wheel drive transfer case. Consequence of Defect: Low oil levels in the transfer case could cause bearing damage and result in drive train lockup, increasing the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: A proposed remedy and owner notification schedule has not yet been provided. (this is from my insurance site, progressive gives you all the recalls and service bulletins on their online site.) Also, check out http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread....9&page=1&pp=10 It has info about a guy with an aftermarket clutch getting his tc dealt with under recall
