Strange Noise from Tranny

when i start my car, it makes these loud "gear" winding sound but only while high idle after start up, the noise goes away after it warms up, any one else have this problem?

Is it a type of loud whistle like sound when you first start the car? If that is the case it is just your starter and there isnt a problem. Is the car showing symptoms other than noise? If it is running rite I wouldnt worry about it but if you are the paranoid fix stuff that isnt broken kind of person I would take it in to a shop to be checked out I would also plan on not getting it back for a while since we are told to charge as a 2day job for moste tranny problems.....hope that isnt the problem
