Re: someone help!

What about the cap/rotor/wires/plugs. Why only change/check one part of the ignition system ? My dad has a 93 1500 , same problem TWICE, once was bad distributer cap and the other time was a bad coil wire.

Re: someone help!

true..but there's no fire coming from the distributor to the coil...wouldn't it come through the distributor first before the spark plugs?...

The spark starts @ the coil then goes to the distributer cap , then the plugs. Pull the coil wire off of the DISTRIBUTER cap and check for spark there while leaving the wire connected to the coil. I was thinking that you maybe were thinking one thing and typing another when you said you have no spark coming from the distributer to the coil, that is backwards. Then you aske wouldn't it come through the distributer first , then the plugs.....which IS right. If you are checking it right and you are checking to see if there is spark from the coil and you are getting spark , then check to make sure you are getting spark at the plug wires, i have seen bad rotors before. If you are not getting spark from the coil , it is possible to have recieved a faulty ignition module/pickup coil , i would take them and have them tested then.
