Lift kit/Tire rub/torsion bars

I just put the skyjacker 3" lift kit on my 1993 k1500 truck. The one that lowers the differential and has new upper control arms and add-a-leaf in the rear. Decently happy with the kit. It doesn't lift the front up as much as I would've liked, so I'll still end up adjusting the torsion bars quite a bit. I put a set of 32/12.5R16 from my old truck onto this one and took it around the block last night and noticed that the tires rubbed quite severely. On my last truck, which was the same but without a lift, there was almost no rub, accept with a hard turn/bump combination. Could it just be because the alignment is way off after replacing the upper control arms off and knocking out the little keyway knockouts? I'm taking it in tomorrow to get it done, but I wanted to get the lift adjusted just right first. What is the tire most likely rubbing on? I didn't put to much time into experimenting, or else I'm sure I could figure it out. Also, has anyone tried putting heavyduty torsionn bars on there truck? It seems that although this would stiffen up the ride, it would allow the truck to ride higher without cranking up the torsion bars as much. Let me know if anyone has tried this. Thanks-

Your tires are probably rubbing on the lower part of your front bumper or on the black plastic air dam under the bumper. If this is the case, then it is a pretty easy fix.

If you stick with the factory wheels you can fit a larger tire on that truck than you can with aftermarket wheels and a lift. Its all in the offset.
You may have to trim the bumper and the air dam. You may also have to trim the fender a bit.

I dont even have the factory wheels any longer, so I'm going to have to go with an aftermarket application. I Don't have the plastic air dam on their, and I also removed those little filler pieces between the bumper and the body so they don't get ruined... I was thinking I might be able to just bend back the lower edge of the fender.. I guess I have to figure out exactly where it's rubbing. So it's most likely the bumper or the fender, not the wheel well or anything else?

put one of these on my last truck along with a body lift. When I first drove there was tire rub it was coming from the brake lines I just had to bend them a little. Even after alignment I still had some minor tire rub on the inside of the left tire on the white lettering I think it was rubbing when I turned on the A arm. Not sure can't remember. All I know is that I would never buy one of these again....like you said there's not much lift in the front and you have to crank up the torssion bars so much that it kills the ride.

Did you have any other problems with it? I heard that they are pretty hard on idler arms. I just wanted a few inches for a sportier look and I thought this would do it. The amount lifted will do for now, but I dont want to destroy my front end in the process
