96 toyota tercel-charging problem

96 toyota tercel-alternator not charging battery. had checked and replaced alternator and belt last week. had same problem since-at night it seems alternator not charging enough and starts running off of battery, which soon drains. have had everything checked-alternator charging okay, battery okay, no power drains, etc., but still having problem every night.

Check all wires for continuity and/or short. If the alternator is working hard it is a shorting problem, and if it not carring a load it is a continuity problem. You know how if you turn on your defogger and the engine rpm reduces, that is a sign of a load, and if your engine/ alternator feels and sounds like that then chances are it a shorting problem. Have you checked all the fuses and breakers?
