RF Amplifier stuck on protect.

ok i have a rockford 501bd amp. 500 wRMS @ 2 ohms.
ithe amp was working fine, and it was laying in my trunk, not mounted or anything but secured so it wouldnt move. today i was driving and i hit a big pothole and the amp stopped working. i got out and looke dat it and it wasd on but in protect. now ive done evrything, rewired it, put it in other cars, and it always comes on but will not come out of protect mode..any suggestions?

but i could probably fix it if it is something fixable. a couple of people have said a loose ground inside, but if its something i can fix w/o spending $200 at the ONLY audio repair shop anywhere in my area, then id be real happy
