88 civic hatchback
i have a civic with a 1.5 i hear a light tapping under valve cover..is it my valves..how can i find out what it is..it only does it when car is cold

hey it mite be your roker arms make sure you gap them right just make sure there all gaped to 0.4000 try that and that should work and if it doesnt the you have a bent vale and if that happend then you would have a big problue so it just sounds like your roker arm needs ajusting

The rockers probably need adjusting, there are instructions in here on how to do it, its a factory service manual. It will be under cylinder head/valve train.
By the way, DonnyNashley, 0.4000 would be a huge gap, I think you ment four-thousandths witch would be 0.004
