Pull the door panell of the ones that dont work and see if you have power to the motor if not you have a problem with switch or the wirring. If you have power to the motors you probaly need new motors.

The problem probably has something to do with your power window lock out switch located on your driver's door panel. When activated, the three other power windows are locked out and only the driver should be able to operate them. Try switching it back and forth, maybe the terminals are dirty. I have taken them apart and cleaned the terminals before.

Betcha that's it!

Re: Help, my power windows do not work

Laredoowner,
I have a '94 Grand Chrokee and I've had the same problem. I thought it was what the others have suggested, which are all good answers. But I put a different master window switch in mine and nothing changed. However, I found that the problem isn't in the switch at all...it's in the wires that run from the door into the interior. The wires that are contained within the rubber boot in the door jamb area have a tendancy to break. Therefore, causing loss of power. Check your fuse breaker in the panel (a 30 A breaker) if it's still good this is your problem. The wires come from the fuse block to the master switch and then out to the other doors.

The only problem with this fix is that it's sometimes hard to get to the wires to fix them. If you can't get a connector on them try soldering them and maybe add some wire to it and then use a little heat shrink or electrical tape for protection and shortages.

Good luck!

This was the problem with our '99 Ch Sport. Wires eventually broke from bending every time the driver door was open+shut. Mechanic was able to replace the entire harness, and all was well until yesterday, when p/s window regulator cable snapped...I see from this forum that it's known to happen...

Good luck!
