Ok my friend has an integra same as me 91 and it's an ls special not like it matters but what does matter is this. he says the clutch sticks in each year and doesn't like to shift or won't shift and he says if ur lucky and make it thru the gears it will get stuck in 5th gear or in reverse. He says if u put it in first gear it sounds like it's in 4th gear cause the acceleration is slow. it might have a timing problem but i'll further the info some more if i get it.

Are you saying that it won't come out of gear?
Does the car go into neutral when the clutch is pressed in? Have you tried checking the clutch cable to see if it needs to be tightened up? Need some more information, be as specific as you can.

im the person he was talking about w/ the integra.. ok heres the deal.. i was taking my g/f to the mall to shop and shit, and i put the car in reverse i had no problem at first. it was wen i tried to get it out of gear. like put it into 1st. but the shifter wouldn't move. i was banging it. pullin on it. and just doing everything possible to get it out of reverse. finally when i managed to get it into gear the speed was like really slow sounded like i was about to stall out. i didn't know what to do. so i had parked it in an open parking lot and left it there. at first i thought it was the clutch cable but it wasn't. i had replaced that about 6 months prior. because the same problem happened to me b4. i have heard of several possiblities of what it could be but they don't know. i really do need some help.. my car has over 150,000 miles on it. so maybe it could be clutch. please help me... oh yea it does go into neutral fine. if the car isn't running it will go only thro the four gears. but once u try 5th and reverse it gets stuck. |

id have to say your clutch is blown sounds like the same thing mine does when its time for a new one

But you only have problems when you go into 5th or reverse? I am thinking it would be something internal on the tranny if it has no problems in any other gear.

ok is his prob only in fifth or all gears i thought he said all but if its only fifth and rev its probably internal like you said

Read post 9 and 10 and give us a clear answer. It is hard enough to try and diagnose a problem over the internet let alone not get clarification.
