maro wont run

I had a new engine installed. When I got it back it ran rough so I tuned it up with the basics, new... distributor and wiring harness, all fluids, etc. It has ran rough all along. Then wouldnt start at all. I was told to replace the EGR valve, oxygen sensors, fuel filters. It ran the same. Another so called mechanic said it was there was gas flooding the spark plugs. Wait 3 days till it dries (yea right ever heard of a rag). Still not the problem. Then they claimed they checked the computer and finally found the problem. My stupid sister just told them to do what they had to do to fix it. They replaced somethnig in the computer claiming this is finally the real problem. Now he is looking into the Tricam. What the hell is a tricam. I have never heard of a "TRI"cam. The way I see it is they replaced my blown engine with a used one and claimed it was new. Please help me out guys.

well my first comment would have to be thx for callin me a genius lol. but i think that those guys are sending u on a wild goose chase towards god knows what. i have never heard of tricam before... i realize u replaced the distributer... but did you find top dead center, and match the timing on the wheel with the plug wires in the correct order? rough running is usually timing, or missfire of some kind...

btw... u said u replaced the wiring harness? do you mean plug wires? becuase I can't do a complete wiring harness w/out quite a bit of time...

did those guys tell you to do a break-in when you first got the car back w/ the "new" engine, i'm not saying a lack of break-in can be the problem, i'm saying that if they didn't tell you to break in the engine then i wouldn't guess that they actually gave you a new one...
