How's everybody doing.
I have another problem. Earlier this week my car (1995 Custom, 91000 miles) started giving me a problem. When i start the car it's fine, when i put is drive, i get a strange shaking feeling from the car, it happened before but went away and now it is constant, it drives but when i gas it it starts shaking very bad(plugs and wires are new, new ignition coils, injectors are newer, new battery), it sounds like the gears are spinning and either worn out our broken and are spinning around each other Please help |

Re: Weird Shaking
The shaking happens when it is in gear, correct? Does it get worse in reverse? That might not be a tranny poblem. Double check that the cables are all in the right order. Ask Avatar which coil should be connected to which cable to which spark plug. I'm not too familiar with the layout of that car...yet.

I checked and re-checked the wires and which order they are connceted, and everything is correct. When it is in reverse, i get the same shake as in drive. Does anybody know what else it might be, any remote possibilities are welcome. Please help

Re: Weird Shaking
When in neutral, or when you put it back in park, does this shake continue? Is there any slipping when you are in drive? Are there any whining noises from the tranny? Does it shift hard, and jerk the whole car?
Check the color of the tranny fluid. See if it smells like burnt rubber or not. Inspect it for miniscule metal flakes, or anything that doesn't look normal. It should be a bright cherry red color.

Please Help, i don't want to buy another car |

It smells like normal new tranny fluid, not burnt or anything of that sort. Its the weirdest thing, i mentioned earlier, it was doing that earlier and then it stopped usually after 5-10 min of warming the car now it's constant, maybe somethings stuck.
Please help, my wife is pressuring me into getting a Corolla |

Re: Weird Shaking
Okay, well try disconnecting the wire that goes to the tranny. I'm trying to see if it's a TCC problem. There should be a connector on the tranny case that has 4 prongs. Disconnect it, and see if the problem persists.

Re: Weird Shaking
Is a a shake, or more of a vibration? Constant even tempo? What does your exhaust smell like?

Re: Weird Shaking
Was there a change in the weather or something? It is starting to sound like a seal inside the transmission is bad or going bad. If it starts up again, let us know, see if has anything to with the weather, which will tell me what you might be dealing with. You could try putting Lucas Transmission Treatment in, but that isn't guarenteed to work, and that is assuming the problem is with the transmission, and I think it is.

please in the name of god dont let her talk you into a corolla, you will never ever be as happy as you are in your buick. almost every buick owner ive ever talked to loves their buick more than any car theyve ever owned. even if they bought it as an $800 used car because they were in a pinch, they dont like to get rid of them, you wont find a better ride, or inexpensive car to work on

As a matter of fact, it was raining really bad for 2-3 days before it went into shock. I will try the transmission treatment to see if it works. thank you.

I think I may be having the same problem, but I tried the Lucas Transmission Treatment and it still runs like crap. It seemed like it helped for like a minute or two then it went back to doing its thing again. There is no indication in the car that there's anything wrong.
