Lowering it!
I have a line on a lowering kit for my 02 Xtreme Blazer. This same kit is supposed to fit the S10 and S15 as well, and contains two 2" coils for the front and two 3" blocks for the back, plus the U bolts. All this for $70.
My question; since this is not a spindle kit, what else needs to be done / changed besides an alignment? Will the stock shocks still work, or are there brackets out there to take into account the new, lowered stance? Also, will this be too low? I don't want to worry about bottoming out on every bump in the road. Any help's appreciated! |

Re: Lowering it!
Spindle kits are better than coils, don't just go with drop coils, this is not a Honda.

Re: Lowering it!
I agree, spindle kit helps mantain the right tire contact with the road
you know those civics with the wheels slanted inward this causes pre-mature tire wear on one side of the tire, which will cost you more in the long run.

I know this thread is kinda old, but I have been reading the old ones so I don't ask anything that has already been posted. Anyway, your blazer is an xtreme and I believe they come with 2.5" dropped coils stock so the best way to lower it would be spindles and blocks in the rear. The only other option is using lower control arms but with shorter coils already on it, they will throw your alignment way off. Also if you go with lowering blocks in the rear make sure they are angled to correct the drive shaft angle.

Re: Lowering it!
Yip, spindles and blocks is the best way to drop any 2x4 truck.
