i heard from one of my friends the 2g FWD DSM's (GS-T, TSi) are governed at 130mph. Is this true?

Re: dsm governer?

yes you need "Z" rated tires to surpass the safe speed of 137 on "H" rated tires... if you buy Z rated tires then it is ok it remove the govenor, look on www.dsmtuners.com, www.vfaq.com and http://members.shaw.ca/costall/1000Q/ to search for ways to remove it ,from what i remember it is quite easy....

Im gonna get a set of Pirellis so that takes care of the tires, but would i have to ship my ecu in somewhere to get it modified, hence not drive my car for a week or so?
