04 Tacoma knock during bumps/brake

Had my 2004 Tacoma reg. cab for 5 mths & has 5,000 miles.
I'm starting to hear a banging from under the truck whenever I hit the regular bumps in the road I travel everyday. The knocking is even worse when braking on bumps. The road has not changed. It doesn't make the truck ride different or anything.

Anyone had a prob with this? Thanks

Grease the sirks on the drive shift, make sure the rear wheels are off the ground, that may help things

If you have a "mini", there are no grease fittings on the driveshaft.

04 Tacoma knock during bumps/brack

Get the most expensive grease you can find and grease the drive shaft spline. I had the same problem in my 04 Taco (automatic) and after 4 returns to the dealship, they wanted me to get lost (not quite, but what's the different), I did grease the spline and have been very happy with it.

Le

PS: apply as much grease as you can in the lower end of the shaft.
