I recently bought a 1989 formula 350 and I wanna fix it up to race. Nothing out of the ordinary but decent enough to seriously compete with other firebirds camaros mustangs. Any recomendations would be appreciated.

1st off if the engine is in good running condition your gonna beat most mustangs as it is. NOT all of course, but as anyone would know all the v6's and older 5.0's. my buddy has a 350 in his camero. rapes the old mustang 5.0's. i can asee what hes done to it to make it how it is, i knwo hes tweaked the compression a lot. it will only run on racing octane. but damn its quick! whew...

if you put a 6 speed standard into it and all that stuff i said(including exhaust too),you will be just about ready for a 1/4 mile track

I know on my 88 T/A and my sons 3 - 88 GTA's, the aluminum drive shaft was stock from the factory.

headers, and dont forget that skirt
headers are a must for a great 350
but as for the six speed, you wanna keep that right hand free , if your like me you like those short skirts in the right seat |
