Newbie Here. Considering a 1997 vr6. Please Help me out
I have an oportunity to purchase a 1997 GTI Vr6 with 97k miles on it. The body is in good condition, no accidents, and the interior is black leather, and in excellent shape. What are the recalls for this model? I know there are some electrical issues with alot ov VW's. Please let me know what to look for. Thanks.

the biggest thing other than the electrical is the drivetrain. the diff in the MK3 vr6's is the same as in the 2.0 and they work fine if you are gentile if you plan on modding the car at all i would concider a new diff as one of your first investments. it is cheeper to get a diff before it goes than after. because you never know what will goe when it does.
