Removing balance shaft

Has anyone removed their balance shaft yet? Or know know of anyone who has? I want to do it. Alot of people who do it to their 4g63 engines claim they get about 20 hp and 17 ft lbs of tourque. Please help a brother out! Thanks! P.S. Long live ME!

check to see if they make a kit for doing it on your engine. most of the time you still need them connected because the oil pump will run off of the shafts. i'm not possitive on a 3g eclipse. call the parts department and ask if the balance shafts are in connection with anything else. if not, have fun!

Honestly, I have known 1 person who did it and did not gain anything. So I really don't think it to be worth it.
