No Horn, Cruise Cont. Airbag Power???

My 94 Bronco Eddie Bauer has no power to the horn, cruise control or the airbag. I know for a fact the problem is the coiled wire tape in the stering wheel colum but I don't know what it is called or how to buy a new one. I did a temp fix to verifiy that was my problem but the rest of the wire ribbon tape is so brittle I have no choice but to replace not repair. But what is it called and where can I get one. How much do they run? Please help!

I had the same thing happen on my 94. I dis-assembled the
coil and took it to a Ford dealer, tossed it on the counter,
and told them I needed a new one.

After some searching, they produced the part. If I recall correctly,
it was $65. If I also recall correctly, it was called a slip ring
assembly or something similiar. It's been a few years.

PS, don't bother with the junkyards. Usually the entire steering
wheel assembly has to be purchased. I hit 5 different places
and none of them would sell me the ribbon cable alone.

Thanks, I will look into that. I also heard it might be called a "Clock Spring" so tomorrow I will call the parts dept. at Ford and check prices.
