The 1992 Laser is lighter than any other DSM!!!!!!!
I found this by accident. Go to Kelley Blue Book and compare the 1992 Laser RS Turbo AWD with any other DSM. It say's that the 1992 Laser weighs 2531 lbs. while the rest weigh 3000 lbs. + Has anybody heard of this? I recently bought this same car and as soon as I get the Turbo oil return pipe fixed and the tags on I am going to go to the truck stop and find out.

yeah me 2. autotrader.com rates the gsx at 3093, the laser at 3073, and the tsi at 3108. you must of mistaken it with the rs non turbo which weighs 2524.

The car weights ARE in kbb, you just have to know where to look
 . I just looked, and kbb DOES say it weighs 2524. I don't know for sure if that is true, but I don't see why kbb would put false information on the website, especially considering that almost all other information on there is damn accurate.  Get on kbb.com on click on the Used Cars option. Then click on Compare Up To 4 Cars under the Helpful Resources category (bout a 1/4 down the page). You should be able to figure it out from there.

well... arent they all optioned differently... im not a big expert on the other modles but i could see how the weight could change if the interior or some parts were different... but thats alot of weight... what engine model is in the 92 rs lazer?

could it be possible that they are wrong? i'm not sure, but if i had to guess i would say that those places are not exactly 'experts' in the wieght of cars. there is probably some guy that looks up the info and fills in the blanks. probably looked it up wrong. but he still got his 8 bucks an hour...

well if you would have noticed the weight is for rs n/a. the link was for the base modle 92 laser and the turbo modle was listed under there but the weight and that stuff is all for the base modle one.

dude, i dont think the laser weighs 2500 lbs, and if it did, i'd see lots more of those on the streets other than the gsx and tsi. im pretty sure its all wrong....unless it is rite? lol...i HIGHLY doubt it.
