Question Suspension question...

Thinking about a 2/4 drop in my 96 C1500...anybody know how much cargo weight capacity ya lose doing this??? Also is it better to use hangers/shackles, or to replace the leaf springs with 4" drop leafs???

you will not lose anything except that nasty hieght. if i were you i'd do leafs because its easy... if im not mistaken you will have to remove the gas tank to do hangers.... i have a 90 c-1500 and i droped it 5/7 and i still haul a lot of stuff. and for the front do spindles not springs, if you want to do it right

dont do toxic shocks.... they are the worst............ and now that i think about it.... you have to remove the gas tank for leaf springs too... sorry dude. if you went with a 4/6 drop it would be much cooler and no droping gas tanks.

You really shouldn't have that much of a problem. To be safe you could always install a c-notch for extra clearance. But you can run without it for a while and see how it is.
