Shocks and Struts?

How do I know when the shocks and struts need to be replaced on my 1994 Lincoln Continental Executive Series? How much does it usually cost? Please respond ASAP. Thanks.

Re: Shocks and Struts?

Your vehicle has Air Ride Suspension controled by a computer module and height sensors that automaticaly level the car and adjust to road conditions. You do not have shocks present on the vehicle. The suspension consists of 4 Air Struts(one per wheel), that exist as a single unit. You will know when the struts are bag because the car will sag noticeably. The struts from a dealer are quite expensive, however there are several aftermarket companies that carry the same struts at a lower cost. Are you having problems with your vehicles suspension now, or just inquireing? If you have any more questions please feel free to send me a PM and I will be glad to help.
