License Plate light...HELP!!
This may sound crazy, but it's the abolute truth. I noticed the other day that one of my license plate lights had blown out. I went to the local Auto parts store and purchased a package of bulbs for it. Now the problem is...how the hell do I change it? they are on either side of the licence plate, not above it as illustrates the shop manual. I have had the tail light lens off, and there is no access through that way as it is encased in solid metal. I opened the trunk and again, it is encased in solid metal. I have had this car to three repair shops, and even a Chevy dealer whom all have no clue. HELP!!! I hope I don't have to replace the entire trunk lid because a bulb blew out!! That is far too rediculous to even consider!
Jim.

Re: License Plate light...HELP!!
That's why I don't like the 2doors, they have split tail lights. Anyway, the 4door is cake, just remove the plastic wing nuts and twist and pull out the rubber sockets. I guess the 2door is very different. Look for plastic wing nuts. It shouldn't be that difficult, but I know GM is GREAT at making a simple task nearly impossible
