turbo-ing

my friend wants to do a 3SGTE swap in his '91 N/A. We found a jdm engine store online that will sell him one for $1250. It includes the turbo motor, alternator, intake manifold, and distributor. Will he need to replace the tranny or do any tranny work or will that setup make it run? ALso will he need a new ecu or anything else?

yeah, he will need wiring harness, ecu, tranny ( the ratios are better than non turbo tranny, and he needs to get the mounts fabricated.. it wont just drop in.. lots of work buddy.. im doing it right now..

damn, could it be done with like 3 grand? He cant do it himself and i dont trust myself to do somthing that big

3 grand... i spent a total of 4gs.. but i also bought lightweight flywheel, stage 3 clutch, have a professional do it.. im not a pro but im sure i can "wing" it... good luck
