Replacing the Monsoon head unit
Hi gang, any sound experts out there? I'm looking to replace my head unit in my Jetta. I have an 04 VR6, with the monsoon sound package and CD changer. I wanted to get a new head unit, and keep the CD changer. Is there any thing specific to the changer that would cause a problem with replacing the deck? Is there an amp installed with the Monsoon that I can use with another deck, or is it worthless? What about the sub?
Finally, can anyone suggest a great replacement? I would love to hook in my iPod, and have SIRIUS encorporated as well...... Thanks for the help. -gooch |

Keep the stock radio... Stock radios are good enough- aftermarket ones are just troubles in vw's. THey do the same thing but they just look so much cooler.

Re: Replacing the Monsoon head unit
bro the monsoons are sweet
i wouldnt do anything bout the head unit, unless you want a dvd player, just custom build a setup, and yeah the monsoon systems come with an amp, look in your trunk and look up to the right side behind the seat |
