ouch!
both of my front tires or worn on the inside, i know that lowering your car causes negative camber but mine isnt lowered, so my question is could i still have some negative camber without lowering my car... what could cause this besides the camber?

Re: ouch!
Not rotating your tires will cause them to wear on the inside on the front. Also if your stock springs or struts are worn and not up to the job anymore it can cause that as well. Did you rotate them often?

Re: ouch!
also if u'r wheels r towed out, that'll cause the insides of the tires to wear.
i agree w/ whtteg wutever u hit to get the wheel that bent, prolly messed the alignment up. thro u'r stocks back on and take it to the shop for an alignment, either u'r camber or u'r tow is off. either way i'd get it checked out. |

Re: ouch!
Look in your local phone book in the yellow pages under wheel reapair. I know there are a few around here in Atlanta. I have never had to get a wheel repaired so you might find it cheaper to by another, not sure though. But either way please keep everybody posted about the wheel repair so that others will know too.

Re: ouch!
ok ill do that, i think i wanna get some either 15s or 16s the tires are just too slim on these 17s they dont take much abuse from bumps.. so im not sure what my plans are at this point, mainly just trying to get it back on the road however i can for now... thanks for all the help and ill be sure to keep everyone up to date on the situation

Re: ouch!
yeah my bro dented his wheel too, kinda same deal. they ripped up the roads and exposed a 4" deep pothole (no joke he took pics as proof) and he hit it before we knew it was there. needless to say, he reported it to the city, and they said since he had proof, that they'd pay for the repairs. I found a place like 3 min from my house that right on their sign says they fix wheels. he has yet to call on a price though. if he gets to it, or i do for him, then i'll get back w/ a rough price for ya. his isn't dented as bad, but his is on both inside and outside of the rim, and very slight on the inside of the back rim on the same side
regardless, the denting of a rim shouldn't cause the tire to wear like that. it is still gonna be linked to camber or toe. (hmm is it tow or toe.... sh!t i can't remember) edit: yeah i'm pretty sure it's toe (for anyone who really cares) |
