Unhappy Help My 01 Rodeo Is Falling Apart

Please Help Me I Have A 2001 Isuzu Rodeo V6 Automatic That Is Falling Apart. It All Started With A Surging Down The Road. The Check Engine Light Came On So I Took It To Autozone It Came Up With 5 Different Codes. Egr, Tps, And A Few Others I Didn't Understand. I Replaced The Egr Because That Seemed The Most Logical. $120.00 To Not Fix The Problem. Next Step I Replaced 1 Of The Throttle Postion Sensors (the One On The Throttle Body) $76.00 To Not Fix The Problem. Next Step I Took It To A Mechanic He Guaranteed He Would Diagnos The Problem $188.18 And He Told Me That It Was The Tps. I Told Him I Replaced It Two Days Prior He Says I Got 30 Years In The Business You Got A Bad Part! So I Order And Replace The Same Tps Guess What It Didn't Fix It! I Am At My Wit's End I Can't Sell It Because It Doesn't Run Well Enough For Anyone To Be Dumb Enough To Buy. I Cannot Continue Putting $ Into It And Not Fixing It. The Symptoms It Has Are Surging Down The Road. The Reduced Power Light Comes On Very Frequently While Driving And You Can Floor The Darn Thing And You Are Going To Go About 5 Mph. While Sitting Idle At Stops You Can Watch The Rpms Bounce. It Dies Whenever The Most Inconvient. Help Me Please Help Me!!!

It is your intake manafold gasket. Very common problem on the +98 Isuzu's.

If you are the original owner or the second owner with under 60k isuzu will replace it for free.

Good luck.

I just had similar problems as yours on my '02 rodeo. Sounds like you may have a problem with your intake manifold. Mine was cracked and the cat converter was stopped up. If you have less than 80,000 miles on your vehicle, your dealership will replace it for free. I was told by my dealer that on my car the manifold is covered up to 10 years or 120,000 miles. The caty is covered on an 8 year or 80,000 miles federal issued warranty. Hope this info helps you out!

Re: Help My 01 Rodeo Is Falling Apart

cracked intake gaskets wont cause dtcs for tps and egr but the two do have something in common which is a ground it is located at the top of the common chamber you may call it the upper intake there are about 4 grounds in an eyelet at the top left rear of the common chamber bolt is has a 14 mm head remove the bolt clean the aluminum up real good us a wire brush or something llike that also clean the eyelet be sure those wires are crimped tight and that none of them are falling out before reinstalling run doun to an autoparts store and ask for star washers get some that will fit your bolt and reinstall that bolt with the washer on it

2eyefishclaw, that sounds alot like another article I read:
http://www.misterfixit.com/izuzzu.htm - see 2nd to last paragraph.
Could you confirm that it is the same as you discussed?

Could anyone take a pic of this 4 ground post to help others (incoluding me) to locate it, that would be great!

thanks!!!
