Bondo before fiberglassing

Would it do me any good to cover my plywood in bondo before I fiberglass it. Would it make a better end product, or is a waste of time??
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Bondo before fiberglassing

Sounds like a waste of time if its just a mold. I do it for bucks for sheetmetal even then it can be a waste.

Re: Bondo before fiberglassing

Ahat exactly are you doing? If you want to use bondo to fill voids such as knot holes and such then it will be ok, but I wouldnt cover the entire thing to try to smooth it. Just sand it if your wanting it to be smooth.
