Traveling to Hot and Humid place?
I am going to mexico and was wondering if the change of temp and humidity will harm my digital camera? I stay in an airconditioned room and when you go outside the camera will fog up and the lens and everything gets condensation on it when I go out of the room. Will this hurt the camera, the ccd, or anything? Are the scaners at the airport security lines damaging to digital cameras? I dont think they are but just wondering.
Is there a way to transfer the images from cpf cards to my 20gb mp3 player without a computer? |

personally i would allow the camera time to acclimatise before you use it when you make the change from one environment to another. if you are getting condensation inside the camera (lens, screen, battery compartment, etc) DO NOT USE IT untill it has gone. most cameras are designed to work in non condensing environments.
air port x-ray scanners will not harm your digital camera at all. most won't even harm film emulsion unless scanned many times. i've taken very high speed film (3200 and 6400) through before with no problems. however, x-ray machines will make you sterile if you go through too many. j/k... if it's an ipod there is an adapter to copy the files off your memory card onto your mp3 player. failing that, there are many devices on the market designed as high capacity storage of your digital photos without the use of a pc. the image tank and epson photo viewer spring to mind but there are many many others.
