Question Boost isn't getting any higher....help

Alright...i just got the JoeP MBC like a week ago and for some reason when i adjusted it to push more boost my boost gauge on shows 11psi after adjusting it so many times. It doesnt seen to get any higher than that. I've turned the knob so many times to get the boost up and for some reason it's not working. I don't even wanna touch it no more because i might be boosting too much and i dont know it. What do you guys think may be the problem? What is your guys input?

Re: Boost isn't getting any higher....help

I am assuming you are talking about an aftermarket boost gauge. If so, what did you run before the MBC was installed. Did you eliminate the BCS when you installed the MBC?? Are you sure all of your lines are tight?

Yes, it is a aftermarket boost gauge. I replaced the BCS with the MBC, one line to the wastegate the other to the intake...basically just swapped the two. Would it be possible that i installed it incorrectly? What would be the proper way to install the MBC? Thanks...

Alright i finally got the boost up and it seems to be boosting properly, but its boosting more than i thought. For some reason when the boost hits 10psi it just suddenly jumps up to 16psi out of nowhere in less than a sec. I was like holy crap!!! so i let off the throttle. I have a JoeP MBC and it is set to 0 so i dont know why im boositing so high if my BC is not even adjusted for more boost. Any of you guys have any idea how to get the boost down? Im only trying to hit 12-13psi on full throttle cause i dont wanna mess things up. Thanks!

Here's what i got under the hood:
-Free mods
-JoeP MBC
-K&N filter
-full 2.5" custom cat-back exhaust
-16g turbo

*keep in mind i have a stock fuel system

If you've got one line going from the MBC to the wastegate and one back into the intake (like the stock BCS), then you have it hooked up wrong. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105573 <-- That is the proper way to install a MBC.
