Re: spoiler removal

All the bolts are inside of the trunk lid..unscrew them all and then if i remember correctly there's gonna be two strips of two way tape holding the spoiler down. Then you can either get a plasitc putty knife or some dental floss and zip your way through it. to take off the left over two way tape use either paint thinner or acetone.. the only problem with taking the spoiler off is that your gonna have a lot of scratches and dents because the spoiler has been there for so long.. but if your getting a wing you're gonna get it repainted and patched up anyway.. so good luck with the project.

Im not gonna be repainting those open gaps where the spoiler is mounted but I need some ideas of what to patch it up with. Is there a good putty or something that will withstand all types of weather, temperatures and such?

Re: spoiler removal

just look around at your local auto parts store, they should have something. Bondo or JB weld should work

It'll be sitting in my room with the other crappy old parts I'm taking off my car in the next few months or so. It's color is gold.

Re: spoiler removal

Is there way to take off the cover on the trunk lid (or is this the trunk lid) to get access to the screws? Or will i need a special wrench to get in there?

Re: spoiler removal

no way to take the cover off... you can take the whole trunk off very easily. an extension will work perfect... i replaced my OE spoiler with one from an 89 Audi... it looks badass
