Post seatbelt problem warrantied?

My girlfriend drives a 93 (I think) T-bird and the passenger side automatic seatbelt wil notl move when shutting the door and the door ajar dinging sound goes on all the time. Now I drive an Acura and had kind of the same problem where the seatbelt would not engage and since it was a safety issue with the seatbelt it was under a lifetime warranty and the Acura dealership fixed it for free. I was just wondering if Ford offered the same thing so she can get it fixed free.
