Re: geers?

no, switching while driving is stupid

1st gear is something like 4:1
3rd gear is like 1.1:1
4th gear (OD) is .7:1

Re: geers?

you asked what the difference was between drive, overdrive and 1st

1st holds you in 1st gear which has a 1:1 Ratio
Drive allows you to go between gears 1-3, 3rd gear is 1.1:1
OD allows the transmission to go from 1-4, 4th gear is .7:1
