my friend is replacing the head gaskets on his mom's taurus (90's model)for her, and he is having slight difficulty on how to do it. is there a "how-to" or something that may help him? any help would be greatly appreciated

go to a parts store and get a good repair manual

If your friend doesn't want to pay for the book, he can try the public library. Having the manual is necessary. On some cars, if you don't remove the head bolts in the proper order, you will warp the head.
