I GOT MY CAR BACK. Big difference but also I got a big problem.

OK guys, I got my car back after I put all the mods on it, and I gotta say, it's too damn fast now!!!!!!!!!!! Scared the shit out of me when the boost kicked in. But I got a problem, When I rev up the car, It revs fine. But when I suddenly let go of the gas and the revs fall, they fall below Idle point and sometimes causes the car to shut off. Also, when I'm driving the monster, and lets say the revs are at 5500, I push in the cluctch and put it in neutral, the revs fall below Idle and the car shuts off again. Please tell me whats going on. And yes, my blow off recurclates into the intake. Also I found out that if I slow the car down to about 1500 rmps before I push in the clutch, it doesn't shut off. WTF!!!!!!! BTW here the mod list in case you need it.

Act 2600 clutch
Apexi N1 3" downpipe
3" exhaust and Hks 3"-5" muffler

Re: I GOT MY CAR BACK. Big difference but also I got a big problem.

another thing I noticed is that when I'm in neutral, the air fuel gauge I have falls so low into lean, that the light doesn't even turn on....... is that the problem?

His injectors are fine, he has DSMLink and a FPR. Make sure you dont have a vacumm hose loose or anything. Mine did the same thing and it was a vacuum hose near the driver side firewall.

Dre. Day He does have a Turbo and a FMIC, He has a lot of mods on that car, Did you read the list fully.

Re: I GOT MY CAR BACK. Big difference but also I got a big problem.

Do the eclipses have an iac valve. Try this, rev the car in neutral, slowly let it come back down to like 2500, then let off the gas completely. My firebird did about the same thing when I removed the iac valve from the tb. I had to adjust the tb blade stop to keep the idle just a tad high, but keep the blade open just a tick, it kept it from slowing down below idle and dying. As far as the lean idle, you may be pulling the fuel through the exhaust valve before it has a chance to fire, then the sudden rush of air behind it will trick the sensor into thinking the car is lean. A lean idle wont really hurt anything, just as long as you dont lean it out on top.

Re: I GOT MY CAR BACK. Big difference but also I got a big problem.

Hmmm... It may be that you have a bad ICM. I have seen it either do idle surge or will drop way below idle levels and even cut the car off... It especially will happen at quick revs. You can find these online which are reconditioned. Kind of a pain to install cause you have to take the TB out to get to it, plus if you dont get the thing in right your engine will not start.. Good luck!

If his car worked fine before his mods, I would start guessing boost leak before random stuff went wrong like an isc.

True, but since he has a new intercooler, they sometimes come with upper intercooler pipes. He should still check to make sure it is not damaged or the wires going into it are not cut.
