mileage

I have an 84 z28, i was wondering how many miles to the gallon most of your third gen guys get, just so i know what to expect, mines all stock, except flowtech hedders and flowmaster exhaust, other then that its a stock 305

haha, no of course not, i got my liscence about 2 weeks back and i jsut got the car on the road. Hacvn't had time to see my mpg and was curious what other ppl got so i could see if mine was normal or not

ive heard guys say that they get between 14-19 on their 3rd gens.

Not that I have a 3rd gen car, but I only get 13mpg, and I wasn't even driving it hard! I get about 260 miles per tank. Drains gas, drains my wallet.

mines not even a Z28 and it uses that gas, definitely not an economy car...lol

same here.. im runnin a 3.4L with a few mods.. but its horrible on gas mileage.. i cant even venture a guess.. but i wouldnt say any more than 15mpg for me.. also a victim of gas prices..

woa woa woa wait..... how am i getting 21+mpg in my 95 Z28 if you guys are only getting like 13-15?? i get 21mpg driving hard, i wonder what the mpg would be if i tried to conserve gas.....

Yeah with my old carbureted 3 speed auto I am making almost 13mpg!

depends on where you drive, how you drive, what kindof gas you use, engine setup, drivetrain...

My Z28 would only dream of 21mpg. Anyone use premium or whatever 93 octane is? I use regular.

i'm gonna have to run premium after i get her fired up... because my compression ratio is prolly gonna be higher than the stock 10:1 because of the mods i got on her...

Milage

My friend has an 83 Z28 with the 305 and 5spd and he gets a constant 18 mpg and it is almost never driven hard; (well except for that awsome burnout in the front foyer (concrete overhang of the front doors) of the highschool last night...dang thats a nice mark)..to bad he dosen't have posi...Lol
