Exclamation *~engine mileage~*

alright. so i have a '99 jetta, but it has almost 112,000 miles on it!!! i just got it in june with 100,000 on it, and im wonderin if anyone knows about when i should start thinkin about a new engine. i know VW's last a looong time, but i dont wanna have to worry. someone let me know!!!

They all last a long time. As long as u do the maintenence on it - Timing belts, tune ups. tdi will last 300k, 2.0 most likely 200k, vr6 200k, 1.8t 160k. Those are the probable rebuild mileages... I have seen 99beetle tdi get the pistons re-ringed at 450,000miles!
