Question S-10 Mazda power?

Please forgive me if this has been covered - I've tried searches and found no answers....

I was told that some Blazers have Mazda engines. If so, can someone tell me what years, and engine types?

In other words, I need some edjucashun

Thanks much

Re: S-10 Mazda power?

My '98 Rodeo had a GM 2.x 4-banger. Didn't last long - the previous owner never changed the oil so plugged oil wiper rings led to cylinder scoring and ultimately ring failure. Thank goodness for dealership warranty - it got me the Blazer I pound ground with now.
